* The Old Fire Station and PointZero Physical Theatre present an original play about the lives of three complex characters who rummage through rubbish to survive. Recycle: Disposable Lives, which shows tomorrow and on Saturday, tells compelling life stories that are considered “disposable” by society through dance, poetry and physical theatre. * A children’s show from pioneering puppeteers Horse + Bamboo will charm families by combining a traditional puppet show with masks, animation and original music. The Nightingale is based on a classic fairytale by Hans Christian Andersen; it concerns a selfish king’s regret after he replaces his melodic songbird with a mechanical counterpart. * This week’s Friday Night Comedy at the Glee Club will be headlined by Tom Wrigglesworth. The acclaimed stand-up has become celebrated since his bureaucracy-mocking show Open Return Letter to Richard Branson; he has since become a favourite at Edinburgh Festival, and starred on BBC Radio 4 panel show The Unbelievable Truth.
