The time honoured tradition of pantomime is upon us again and everyone at Chipping Norton Theatre is preparing for this year’s extravaganza Mother Goose.

Last year’s successful team, writer Ben Crocker and director John Terry, have taken the traditional story and transported it to the icy north, in a funny and fast moving Arctic adventure featuring Nordic trolls, Scandinavian snow, woolly jumpers and even the occasional moose. The show which, runs from Tuesday, November 18, 2014, until Sunday, January 11, 2015, has masses of audience participation, new songs by Tony Award-winning composer Sarah Travis, puns, jokes, helium balloons, a bit of romance and, as ever, throw away sweets to catch.

Mother Goose, played by JJ Henry, left, who looks after sick geese, lives with her daughter Freya and their pet snow goose, Heidi. Life is good until the greedy Baron Von Rumpensmakka demands his rent.

He threatens to take Heidi in payment and, as it is near Christmas, it is most likely she will be eaten. Suddenly Heidi reveals she can lay golden eggs, problem solved? No.

The Baron decides to steal Heidi anyway, starting an aerial adventure to Magic Mountain where mayhem and magic ensure.

Chipping Norton Theatre has teamed up with the Guide for the chance to win two family tickets.

Winners will get a family ticket (two adults and three children) – plus a goodie bag with a programme, ice cream and drinks vouchers, badges and posters – for the 7.30pm show on Thursday, December 11, 2014. To stand a chance of winning, tell us:
