Your chance to win the first two series of the popular Morse prequel...

IT is really no surprise that Inspector Morse remains such a hit in Oxford.

Not only are Colin Dexter’s books great reads, but the TV adaptations have become the city’s shop window, spreading images of the more historic acres of our city around the world – and ensuring, in return, a constant stream of visitors eager to hunt out the colleges, quads and pubs made famous by one of British crime fiction’s most enduring figures.

Sequel Lewis, staring Kevin Whately, has proved equally popular, with Morse’s eponymous sidekick teaming up with Sergeant James Hathaway (Laurence Fox) to make another winning duo.

Taking as it’s starting point Morse’s early career, prequel Endeavour has also proved a hit, its first series attracting 6.5 million viewers.

Now all nine episodes are available to own on DVD. Starring Shaun Evans as the peerless DC, it features nine unique mysteries of breathtaking complexity, set against the spires of our city in the rapidly changing climate of 1960s Britain.

Prospering under the tutelage of DI Fred Thursday (Roger Allam), the two men forge a cast-iron partnership, beginning with a tragic missing person’s case in 1965, and continuing across the course of two further series, written by Russell Lewis. Gathered together for the first time, they form an indispensable chapter for Dexter's fiercely intellectual creation.

Endeavour The Collection (Pilot Film and Series One and Two) has been produced by ITV Studios Global Entertainment and is available to buy now from Amazon (click here...)
