Claire Foy will be crowned British artist of the year by Bafta Los Angeles at the Britannia Awards.
The 33-year-old actress will be honoured with the highest accolade at the annual ceremony that celebrates British talent and Hollywood stars connected to the UK film industry, it was announced on Thursday.
Foy, who plays the Queen in Netflix drama The Crown, has been the “perfect encapsulation of the enduring legacy of British talent succeeding on a global stage”, Bafta Los Angeles chairman Kieran Breen said.

“Her performances this year have been nothing short of phenomenal, including of course her iconic role in The Crown portraying the longest-ever serving British monarch in history,” he added.
Emma Watson, Daniel Craig, Kate Winslet, Tilda Swinton and Helena Bonham Carter are among previous winners of the award.
Foy, from Stockport, Greater Manchester, has already won a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild award for her portrayal of the Queen.
Jack Whitehall will host this year’s Britannia Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on October 27.
