Alan Carr was apparently left in the lurch by Morrissey when the singer dropped out of appearing on Chatty Man just before filming was due to start.
The comedian hosts the Channel 4 chat show, which former Smiths frontman Morrissey had been booked as a guest for, but was said to be gutted to get a last minute cancellation from the singer.
Morrissey said that he was stuck in Northern Ireland because of “transport issues” after performing in Belfast, leaving Alan, who had been over to see the show on Tuesday, short of an interviewee just hours before filming should have begun.
However, producers managed to draft in Celebrity Squares host Warwick Davis to fill his spot on the sofa.
Chatty Man tweeted their disappointment at Morrissey’s cancellation.
