She’s already one of YouTube’s most-loved personalities, known for her amazing makeup tutorials, chatty vlogs and delectable baking videos – which have amassed more than 187 million views – and now Tanya Burr is dipping her well-manicured toe into the literary world.

The 25-year-old’s first book, Love, Tanya, is currently enjoying a place in Amazon’s Top 10 Bestsellers list, probably thanks to her loyal following of 2.7 million YouTube subscribers and 1.23 million Twitter followers. So, how exactly does one become a vlogging megastar? According to Tanya, the trick is to “Be yourself and talk about something you’re really passionate about and then just go for it.” How insightful.

Tanya is the latest in a looooooong list of YouTubers-turned-authors who have released books in the last year. To list a few, (deep breath here) Grace Helbig, Hannah Hart, Carrie Hope Fletcher, Mamrie Hart, Alfie Deyes and Michelle Phan have all put their musings on paper in the last year.

That’s not to mention Zoe Sugg’s phenomenally-successful Girl Online, which was the subject of a big ‘ole ghostwriting scandal last year. Speaking of Zoella, the petite brunette was nowhere to be seen at Tanya’s book launch. Hiding from journalists, are we?

The rest of the YouTube A-list turned out in full force, including Marcus Butler, Niomi Smart, Joe Sugg, Caspar Lee and PixiWoo sisters Sam and Nicola. Ms Burr’s boyfriend Jim Chapman was also on hand to dote over his lady. N’aww.

Aside from the YouTube crowd, a few other famous faces turned out for the free booze and goody bags. SB.TV entrepreneur Jamal Edwards, Liam Payne’s ex Danielle Peazer, model Kara Rose Marshall, TV presenter Zoe Hardman and TV personality/journalist/person of the internet Billie JD Porter all turned up.

Looks like Tanya had fun at her book launch, but we wonder if its success will match the huge popularity of Girl Online? Hmm, either way, it sounds like she’s pretty pleased with the night.
