There you have it – the second “celebrity” to be conventionally kicked out of the Big Brother House is Alicia Douvall.

We must stress the word “conventionally” because so far two housemates have been ejected and one has left under his own steam – suddenly freeing up presenter Emma Willis’s Friday nights.

But alas, Alicia’s innocent manner (“innocent” being a Cheggers euphemism for dim) and intense knowledge of nutrition did not win her enough public support.

Cue some cutting – but undeniably witty – Twitter insults regarding Alicia’s IQ and her more than 300 plastic surgery procedures.

Even Channel 5 were having a little dig at the woman they signed up to go in their house of horrors!

In fairness to Alicia’s critics, her interview with Emma on leaving the house was pretty hard going.

Even that bloke off Strictly Come Dancing tweeted his disapproval. (Actually that’s not a rare thing at all.)

That last comment was in reference to Alicia’s accidental in-house confession that she only recently learned the alphabet. She’s only in her 30s, people!

There were a good few celebs on her side though. Katie Piper for example. And that money-saving guy. And Ferne from TOWIE.

So we’ve established that Alicia is a divisive figure – but in a lovely way. She may not be the brightest or most naturally formed human around, but she’s got a sweet heart and an amazing tolerance for Katie Hopkins and that gobby tattoo girl.

Perez Hilton on the other hand. Oh, Perez… The outlandish celebrity blogger scored as many comments as the evictee tonight, hogging the CBB limelight again.

Just for tradition’s sake, we’ll run through the predictable tweets of frustration registered on social media.

In fairness, with every day that goes by we’re wondering if it’s even ethical to keep him in the Big Brother House at all. We assume this tweet is a joke, but it’s looking increasingly accurate.

With so many people wanting Perez out, it’s safe to say that some people were unimpressed by how the “vote to save” system works on the show.

And it’s not just Perez…

Others see a deeper stitch up – but don’t they always after a BB eviction night?

Bang on there, Twitter. They probably will do that. Because it’s telly. What is this teaching the public in the run up to the general election?

Finally, though, one of the more interesting phenomena out there is the levels of support for Katie Hopkins. Is it because she pitches herself against Perez so readily? Or is it because she’s a witty witty lady.

That corker came up in a conversation about breast milk. Nope, we don’t get it either.

Still, there’s a bastion of Twitterers still holding out against Ms Hopkins.

Ah, Big Brother. You divide us like no other.
