Liam Hemsworth has insisted there are no hard feelings between him and ex-fiancee Miley Cyrus.

The Hunger Games actor, 24, and the pop star, 21, called off their engagement last year and until now Liam has remained tight-lipped about the break-up.

Now he has opened up - just a little - to Nylon Guys, according to reports, telling the magazine: "There's not much to say; there's no bad blood there."

But he said he was fed up with being followed by the paparazzi, ever since the couple split.

"You never get used to it because you get followed and you get chased and it's never a fun experience," he said.

The Australian star said he was focused on his career, telling the mag: "If you put the work in, and you show that you're willing to work hard, you'll succeed.

"I feel that I often put in more work, and that is what separates me from the other people."

Liam and Miley got engaged in June 2012, when Miley was 19, and split in September last year.

Miley later said she had no regrets about the end of the romance.

"I don't think I realised what 19 truly is, and I got engaged at 19, and I definitely wouldn't change being engaged," she said. "It was so fun wearing a fat rock for a few years. But now, I just feel like I can actually be happy."
