Wesley Snipes has revealed he has got plenty of ideas for Blade 4.

The 52-year-old actor said he is keen to reprise his role as vampire hunter Eric Brooks/Blade in a fourth instalment of the action franchise.

"If the opportunity came along and we could put it together, without a doubt," he said. "There's a lot that I could do with that character now and my skill set, as a producer, as an actor, as a martial artist. So I think there's a lot more we can do and I think the fans are hungry for that."

He continued: "It seems that the climate is primed right for a Blade return. If not, I have another character. If we don't do Blade, I've got another one. We could put (my Expendables character) Doc Death with vampire teeth."

Wesley makes his big screen comeback in The Expendables 3, after serving a three-year sentence in prison for tax-related offences. There is a tongue-in-cheek reference to his tax troubles in the film, which was co-written by his Demolition Man co-star Sylvester Stallone.

"I didn't mind. That's a part of life," he said.

"Most people, when they go through difficult times, even times of tragedy, it's only later on down the road that they can laugh about it. If you can laugh about some of your ups and downs, some of your troubles, it helps you better manage them and it frees you from carrying that burden with you.

"Life can be a real trip, you know... Life, as a whole and as an experience, is an opportunity to have a whole lot of fun," he added.
