Angelina has revealed she didn't really want to become an actress, and hinted she's thinking of changing her career.

The Hollywood star recently made her directorial debut with In The Land Of Blood And Honey, a love story she wrote set against the backdrop of the Bosnian war. And Angelina, the daughter of actors Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand, told Marie Claire magazine she hadn't set out to be a movie star.

She said: "I woke up one day realising, 'God, I'm an actor'. I don't think I intended to be an actor. I think my mother wanted it for me. I loved telling stories, and I enjoyed the profession, but is it too late to be something else?"

The actress also talked about her six children with Brad Pitt and what she had learned from her own mother about parenthood.

She said: "My mom couldn't yell, and she couldn't swear. But she would cry. If I was out all night and didn't call, I could see in her face that she didn't sleep all night. And that she loved me."

She said son Knox is "very much a dude" and Vivienne likes pink and princess movies. Meanwhile, five-year-old tomboy Shiloh doesn't like being told what to do, and eight-year-old Pax "is extremely wild, but he has a very, very good heart".

Angelina revealed: "I suppose what I've learned from Brad is to be able to have the kind of family whose happiness and well-being comes before your own. I'm very, very grateful to have such a loving family, and I wouldn't have that without him."
