Michelle Ryan will play Sally Bowles in Cabaret
Michelle Ryan is joining Will Young in the West End stage show Cabaret.
The actress, who played Zoe Slater in EastEnders, will take the role of cabaret artist Sally Bowles - made famous by Liza Minnelli in the film version.
Michelle was in EastEnders for five years before leaving in 2005 and later starred in a US remake of The Bionic Woman.
Cabaret was inspired by Christopher Isherwood's novels of pre-war Berlin and is set in a nightclub as the Nazis rise to power.
Will is to play the part of the Emcee in the musical which show opens in London on October 3 after a four- week tour that takes in venues in Southampton, Nottingham, Norwich and Salford.
