There are less than 35 days to go to the release of new Bond movie Spectre.

In the countdown to October 26 and the world premiere of the spy thriller, starring Daniel Craig and featuring Sam Smith’s new Bond theme Writing’s On The Wall, Empire magazine has published some interesting statistics on 007.

219 – The number of people who’ve played James Bond on TV, radio, in audiobooks, on the internet, in short films, in movies, as stuntmen and in video games (not including stand-ins).

23.5 million – The number of people who watched Live And Let Die on its first TV broadcast in 1980.

378 – The number of characters killed by Bond in all the official films so far. Pierce Brosnan killed off the most with 135 and George Lazenby killed the least with just five.

277 – The units of alcohol that Bond is seen consuming on screen in official Bond films, including 27 Martinis.

15 – The number of BMW 750iLs destroyed during the making of Tomorrow Never Dies. At 73,000 dollars each, that’s over a million dollars’ worth of car-nage.

8 million – The number of copies sold of GoldenEye 007 for the Nintendo 64. The first Bond video game was 1983’s James Bond 007 and there have been 22 Bond video games in total.
