EastEnders character Dennis “Denny” Rickman looked a little different on last night’s episode – probably because he is now played by an entirely new actor.
Fans definitely picked up on the re-casting, as Bleu Landau made his debut – replacing Harry Hickles, who had played the youngster since 2012.
Little Bleu made a quick appearance, chatting with his on-screen mother Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean) as new step-father Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) walked in.
But fans noted that Denny’s long blond locks were gone, replaced by a close crop – and he seems to have grown taller, too.
The child actor will have to balance his EastEnders filming with a role in Guy Ritchie’s Knights Of The Roundtable: King Arthur, due for 2016.
Dennis joins a long list of Albert Square re-casts. Last year, Harry Reid became the fifth actor to play Ben Mitchell, Phil’s son – while Eliot Carrington is the fourth Bobby Beale.
