Lea Seydoux is in talks to play Channing Tatum’s love interest in Gambit.
The French actress is in the frame to portray Gambit’s childhood love Belladonna Boudreaux, better known as Bella Donna, in the X-Men spin-off movie.
Deadline reported that Lea was on the shortlist alongside Rebecca Ferguson and Mad Max: Fury Road’s Abbey Lee.
When Rebecca dropped out, Lea was offered the role.
Channing will portray card-throwing mutant Gambit in the big-screen spin-off, which will be directed by Rupert Wyatt.
Lea, who has starred in racy Cannes drama Blue Is The Warmest Colour, Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds, Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol and The Grand Budapest Hotel, will next play a Bond girl opposite Daniel Craig in Spectre.
