Sheridan Smith is to return in a small way to the big screen, as she signs on to portray a dwarf in the Snow White And The Huntsman sequel.
The Cilla star will join Rob Brydon and Alexandra Roach in the upcoming fantasy adventure The Huntsman, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The trio have been cast as dwarves, alongside Nick Frost, who will reprise his role as Nion for the follow-up.
Sheridan appeared to confirm the news, by retweeting the Hollywood Reporter link on Twitter.
But Rob and Alexandra were more forthcoming with their reaction.
Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron will return to play Eric the Huntsman and Queen Ravenna respectively.
Emily Blunt and Jessica Chastain will also have roles in The Huntsman, which is said to focus on the huntsman and Ravenna’s lives before the arrival of Snow White.
Cedric Nicolas-Troyan will direct the movie, which has been written by Frank Darabont, with earlier drafts by Craig Mazin and Evan Spiliotopoulos. The Huntsman is set for release on April 2016.
Sheridan, who has won awards for her performance as Cilla Black in the ITV biopic, was last seen on the big screen in The Harry Hill Movie and Powder Room in 2013.
Welsh actor Rob, who will next be seen in HBO’s upcoming series The Brink, has starred in The Trip To Italy, the sequel to The Trip opposite Steve Coogan, and Disney’s hit live-action film Cinderella.
Alexandra, who appeared in The Iron Lady, Anna Karenina and Cuban Fury, will next be seen in Channel 4′s police drama series No Offence.
