THE singer Rumer has been added to the line-up for this summer’s Nocturne Live festival at Blenheim Palace, with the artist supporting Take That star Gary Barlow.

The BRIT-nominated, Pakistan-born performer will perform tunes from her own back catalogue – including songs from her Top three albums Seasons of My Soul and Boys Don’t Cry and covers from her latest LP This Girl’s In Love: A Bacharach and David Songbook.

The pair play the Nocturne Live event in the palace’s Great Court on June 17.

Also playing at the four-day concert series are Nile Rodgers and Chic with support from Soul II Soul on June 14, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds with The Coral on June 15 and Elvis Costello, Nick Lowe and The Waterboys on June 16.

Festival director Ciro Romano said: “Adding Rumer to the bill for our opening night concert with Gary Barlow feels like the perfect finishing touch to this year’s Nocturne programme.

“We’re tremendously proud of the line-up across all four nights and the event is shaping up to be our most successful to date.

“In Nile Rodgers, Elvis Costello, Gary Barlow and Noel Gallagher we have four true giants of the music world, each offering something different but all undeniably world class. We look forward to welcoming everyone to the palace in June.”

Previous acts to have played Nocturne Live include Elton John, The Corrs, Van Morrison and Ennio Morricone.
