GRAB your glitter, feathers and glitziest costumes because it’s almost time to head into the wilds for our favourite summer festival – Wilderness.

Taking place in the beautiful surroundings of Cornbury Park, near Charlbury, this freewheeling carnival of music, food, fun, drama, dance, rural crafts and intellectual pursuits is famed for its unparalleled atmosphere, high-quality music, great line-up and fun-loving revellers.

This year’s line-up is among its best ever, boasting the legendary Grace Jones, indie-rockers Two Door Cinema Club and lush electronic producer Bonobo.

They are supported by Swedish duo First Aid Kit, the soul-drenched Michael Kiwanuka and reggae classics Toots & The Maytals. Aurora brings her dark folk from Norway, and the ‘Lauryn Hill of the UK’ Ray BLK also brings her urban magic – along with Isaac Gracie, Lisa Marini and Cosmic Strip.

New for this year is The Love Hotel – a kitsch, boutique house of love, popping with dancers and cherry blossom, headed up the eye-catching Anchorsong, Fifi Rong and Blue Lab Beats.

After hours action takes place in The Valley – the perfect forest dancefloor which offers sets by NMBRS Boss Jackmaster, Magnetic Man and Nightmares On Wax and Crazy P.

Elsewhere, there will be hip-hop karaoke, a night of jazz from Ronnie Scott’s with Lucky Peterson, and the Wilderness Orchestra paying tribute to Nina Simone with the help of Laura Mvula and special guests Will Young, Honeyfeet’s Rioghnach Connolly and the Ronnie Scott’s Blues Explosion.

Then there is acoustic loveliness in the Folk Barn, gypsy bass, Balkan madness, electro swing, breaks, roots and funk at The Carousel from the creator of Glastonbury’s Shangri-La, and a brand new party venue The Hustle.
