DANCE music star Mark Ronson, indie-rockers Kaiser Chiefs, and The Proclaimers are among the big names being lined-up for Alex James and Jamie Oliver’s Big Feastival this summer.

The fifth year of the annual food and music festival will also feature singer Ella Henderson, Mercury-nominated singer Roisin Murphy, DJ Norman Jay, The Stereo MCs, Grammy Award-winner Foxes, reggae legends Toots & the Maytals, The and perennial favourites the Cuban Brothers at the event, held on Blur bassist Mr James’s farm at Kingham, near Chipping Norton.

The festival, billed as a celebration of food, music and family, takes place on the weekend of August 26–28.

Further acts and a further headliner are yet to be announced.

As usual, the festival also features a quality line-up of culinary talent, with co-host Mr Oliver rattling the pots and pans with the likes of Raymond Blanc and Tom Kerridge. Also showing off their skills will be chefs and restauranteurs Thomasina Miers, Nathan Outlaw, Gizzi Erskine, Ashley Palmer-Watts, Olia Hercules, Jose Pizarro, Neil Borthwick, Natasha Corrett and The Fabulous Baker Brothers.

For younger revellers, there will be an appearance by CBeebies star Justin Fletcher, fellow TV heroes Dick & Dom, X Factor personalities Reggie n’ Bollie, a family Olympics event, and the return of the Little Dudes Den featuring entertainment and games.

Mr James, who has also acquired a reputation outside music as a farmer and artisan cheesemaker, said: “Each year the festival just gets better and with 2016 marking our fifth birthday on the farm, it promises to be the best year yet.

“Last year’s tickets sold out in record time and I predict this year to be no different so get in early.”

Celebrity chef Mr Oliver agreed, saying: “The Big Feastival is one of my favourite weekends of the year. No other festival combines amazing music and incredible food in such a unique way and this year’s stellar line-up makes it unmissable.”

As well as the usual attractions, there will also be an array of eating options courtesy of some of the stars of the emerging street food scene. Highlights include the British Street Food Awards’ Best Burger winners, Original Patty Men and Best Sandwich winners The Cauldron.

There will be relaxation in a Healthy Living Zone, talks and tastings in The Wellness Kitchen, and food and drink master classes - as well as cooking classes. All of which makes for a pretty tasty weekend all-round.
