With a smorgasbord of talent laid out for ‘Truckers’ at this weekend’s gathering in Steventon, it’s hard to single out potential highlights - but one band which deserves close inspection is Nothing But Thieves.

Born in Britain, but inspired by travels in America, this Southend five-piece have mastered that loud/quiet raw yet methodical thing, at times reminiscent of Radiohead, Muse, Led Zeppelin and Jeff Buckley. They play Truck festival’s main stage, tomorrow - their epic guitars, rippling synths and skyscraping vocals warming up the crowd in suitably anthemic style.

Their current single Itch has been singled out for praise, becoming Hottest Record and Track Of The Day on Radio 1, and earning them a support slot for Sail stars AWOL Nation - an honour they have previously provided to Arcade Fire and George Ezra.

If you miss them at Hill Farm, the lads will be back in action at Reading Festival, next month.
