Nicholson’s Beer Showcase is coming to Oxford from September 17 - October 15 Part of a nationwide celebration, The Eagle & Child, The Crown and The Chequers will play host to some the UK’s best breweries, offering beer fans the chance to try a range of fantastic ales and take part in events, such as craft beer masterclasses, beer sommelier tastings and giveaways. Celebrity brews from New Order and Tony Hadley's IPA will vy for space alongside craft beer specialist Brewdog's pop-up beer school where guests can learn about the intricate brewing processes and ingredients, the principles of beer tasting and beer and food pairings. ‘Cornish Nights’ will serve various high quality Cornish ales courtesy of St Austell and Sharp’s, and will be accompanied with traditional Cornish pasties and a beer tasting hosted by the two breweries. Meanwhile, Beer Sommeliers from Peroni, Pilsner and St Stefanus will be hosting World Beer Masterclasses & Tastings across the three pubs.
