* The Rickety Press in Jericho closed its doors on August 10 for a long-awaited refurbishment.

While they were at it, the owners decided to change a little more than just the paint. In fact they rethought the entire philosophy of the pub, to make it more relaxed and easy going; a sort of neighborhood space for the whole community.

Re-opening this week The Rickety Press now serves a leisurely brunch at the weekends, a quick cheap lunch during the week, beers and cocktails after work, more like it’s sister pub The Rusty Bicycle, while turning its back on the formalities of table service and the traditional gastro menu.

In its place, it’s introducing a more relaxed and sociable dining concept. So on Monday’s you can grab 50% off selected burgers all day while on Tuesday to Friday lunch times there is 50% off selected Neapolitan pizzas, straight from it’s new oven... a genuine Italian wood-fired monster straight from Napoli.

The Rickety Press is at 67 Cranham street, Jericho. See thericketypress.com or call 01865 424581.
