* A new juice bar has opened in the Covered Market. Local home juicing enthusiast, Mike Blandy has opened Nectar – a cold pressed juice and smoothie bar. Cold pressing ensures no heat is applied during the process which means all the vital nutrients, enzymes and vitamins are retained. Traditional juices like orange and apple are served, but his menu boasts more novel concoctions – broccoli, spinach and beetroot or a smoothie comprising sweet potato and whole almonds.

With names like Hulk, Forever Young and Blast these juices and smoothies promise to offer something a little different. It also serves frozen yogurt.
