* Congratulations to Fallowfields for being awarded three AA Rosettes. With the exception of the fabulous Le Manoir aux Quat Saisons, which holds five rosettes, Fallowfields is only the second restaurant in Oxfordshire to hold such an accolade.

Owned by Anthony and Peta Lloyd, Fallowfields opened its fine dining restaurant in October 2011 and recruited head chef Matt Weedon in March 2013, his wife Rachel manning the restaurant.

Mr Lloyd, said: “We are tickled pink. It is recognition not only of our chef, Matt Weedon, but also his kitchen team. Matt is nicely settled in and is planning to use even more of the kitchen garden produce this year.”

Rachel and Matt, pictured, said: “Our hearts have always been in the small Country House Hotel environment; and in Fallowfields, we saw owners with a clear vision that matched our own.”
