House prices in Oxfordshire are at their highest level for almost a year.
Latest figures from the Government’s Land Registry show the average price of a property in the county in October was £238,459, a rise of 0.3 per cent on the previous month.
Prices have now risen for the third consecutive month, bucking the national trend. The last time they were higher was in November last year when they averaged £239,472.
Average property values have now risen by more than £2,500 since July.
Nationally, the monthly figure dropped by 0.9 per cent which takes the average property value in England and Wales to £159,999.
