This week has been going well. I really am beginning to feel the weight of my bump now.
As I have a desk job, moving around is somewhat limited during the week – thankfully. At the weekends when I’m trying to do normal things like shopping, house work, going out, I notice that my energy levels are significantly lower.
I can't imagine being pregnant whilst having a physical job and being on your feet all day!
Whilst mooching around town on Saturday, I had to sit and have a rest on the bench so I’ve lost my normal shopping stamina! Although my pace is slowing down and it would be easy to turn into a couch potato, I am determined not too, well not yet anyway.
My list of excuses to avoid swimming has run out, perhaps I should just take the plunge, stop moaning and get on with it. They say exercise energises you!
I met a lady this weekend who is 38 weeks pregnant. She looks like she’s just eaten a big dinner! It’s amazing how everyone’s pregnancy is very different.
It was lovely to talk to her as it is her first, she’s also planning a home birth and does not know what sex she is having.
It is the first time I’ve spoken to someone else who is pregnant and is was very refreshing and reassuring. I can’t wait to cuddle her newborn, I’m sure that will get my hormones going!
Actually going to antenatal exercise classes would be a great opportunity to meet more expecting Mums as well as getting fit. Right, that’s my mission for this week!
