This week I had a check up with my GP and I'm pleased to say that all is going to plan.
I've had the week off and have really enjoyed chilling out. We've indulged ourselves on all those things that I know will become rare treats - lie ins, slobbing out on the sofa eating ice cream, late nights - bliss!
Our friends who have a lovely 1 year old boy came to stay. Whilst sitting there sober, I was very envious of them knocking back the vino and thinking how easy this baby business is as their baby went straight to sleep just before dinner was served.
There was not even a peep out of him until... about 2hours after everyone had fallen asleep, you know when you've just fallen into a really deep sleep - when baby started to ball his head off!!!
I lay back thinking the next time I hear a baby cry in the night, I won't be able to roll over and go back to sleep again!! Scary thought!
I bet they were envious of my sobriety at that point!!!
It was lovely to think that next Christmas our baby will be that age and size and crawling all over the place....but I'm sure our baby won't wake us up in the night!!!????!!!
