Well, being 23 and a single mum wasn't exactly what I had planned this time last year but having just had my 20 week anomaly scan I can honestly say that I am really excited about my new arrival!

We think that baby Boo is a girl so I have already chosen a name-Ruby Alice. Alice is my middle name and the general feeling among my family and friends is that Ruby Alice is a fab name, so fingers crossed that she is a girl!

If she turns out to be a boy I have decided on Jack - equally fabulous as I am sure you will agree!

I was SO scared about the scan but everything is fine thank goodness. Infact I started off being pretty scared about the whole thing to be honest, but as time has gone on I have realised that I really don't have anything to be frightened of.

The staff at the JR have allayed all my fears and put up with various tantrums and outbursts ranging from stress about blood tests to blood pressure and everything else!

I am quite tired at the moment and get quite excited about going to bed! This time last year I would have been the last one out of the pub and then stayed up until 4am talking-mostly about boys!!!

Clothes are also a bit of an issue but I have invested in some proper maternity wear so find that my trousers do actually fit now!

This week has been pretty good and lots of my lovely friends have started buying little baby presents and we are planning a baby shower too - at the pub of course!
