Well, here I am at 28 weeks pregnant-people keep patting me and saying inappropriate things like “mmm...this isn’t getting any smaller is it!”
What do people think is actually going to happen?
Until I give birth my bump isn’t likely to get any smaller-but it seems that some people haven’t quite got to grips with the fact that a pregnancy lasts a whole nine months-rather than just a few weeks.
I suppose when Ruby is born they will expect her to be eating solid food, playing football and applying for university before the spring, they really don’t have a clue.
Meanwhile I am SO tired I can’t begin to tell you. Is this normal?
My friend Sophie despairs of me sometimes - just as a good night out gets going, all I really want is my duvet and long gone are the days of drinking until dawn, dancing on tables.
I thought that the early on sleepiness was supposed to vanish after the first few weeks-it would appear not.
I am still working every day and looking after my horses as well as various random children so I am getting some first hand experience of exactly what I have to look forward to when Ruby comes hurtling into the world in November - or it could be the end of October actually...watch this space!
