YOUNGSTERS combined a love of music with their enthusiasm for the Olympics.

Children at Wantage Primary School took part in music sessions featuring instruments from all around the world, inspired by the Olympics.

Each afternoon, the classes involved that day showcased their work to the rest of the school.

Musician Andy Warn brought in costumes and instruments to work with the children.

Headteacher Phil Hibbs said: “It has been a very valuable experience for all of the children.

“Not only has it linked with the school’s Olympic theme through celebrating music from around the world, but Andy got all of the children and adults involved in dancing to the rhythms.”

Mr Warn said: “It’s like a musical version of an Olympic opening ceremony. The children loved it.”
