Oxford Eid Extravaganza is set to make a return this weekend after two years of absence due to pandemic restrictions.
The event - which attracted 10,000 people when last held in 2019 – will take place at Cheney School this Sunday, May 8 from 12pm-7pm.
Attendees can enjoy a variety of entertainment, including inflatables for all ages, assault courses, zorbs, a rock-climbing wall, football darts and donkey rides.
There will also be a selection of stalls offering items from around the world, such as perfumes and clothes.
The event will feature a super car display, and for football enthusiasts a tournament has been organised by East Oxford Football. For which teams can sign up on the website: www.eidextravaganza.org
Further, guests will be able to indulge in a range of international foods prepared especially for the event.
Ms Shabnam Sabir, one of the event’s founders, said: “We organise this event every year but due to the pandemic we have been unable to celebrate with the community.
“We feel now more than ever we need to bring people together to have some fun and enjoy some time with their neighbours, families and friends.
“Entry is free and everyone is welcome. So please come along to get your henna art done or indeed to enjoy some delicious cultural food.
“We hope to see you and all your friends and families this weekend.”
