THIRTY jobs have been created at a new restaurant in Oxford city centre.
Cleaver, which specialises in chicken, burgers and ribs, has set up in George Street on the site of the former Fire and Stone pizza restaurant, which closed in October.
The site has undergone a £500,000 investment and will open on Tuesday.
Cleaver operations director Scott Charlesworth said: “Oxford has a very vibrant population and we think the brand will appeal to residents, students and tourists.
“There is nothing like it in the city.”
He added: “We have placed a heavy emphasis on the provenance of the meat and poultry on offer at Cleaver, as well as design and overall look of the restaurant.”
