HEALTH software group iSoft, which has its UK headquarters in Banbury, welcomed the Government’s plans for the NHS.
iSoft, which is developing the controversial Lorenzo software to computerise health records, supported plans to give the patient access to information needed to decide on their care.
Adrian Stevens, managing director of iSOFT’s UK and Ireland business, said: “iSoft is pleased to see concrete measures which firmly put the patient’s needs at the heart of the NHS and believes this white paper shows true commitment to patient care.
“Joined-up care and the integration of services is the way forward for the NHS. We believe that this new policy is an opportunity for iSoft to build on our current work with GPs and the NHS to help facilitate a personalised and seamless patient journey.
“iSoft is uniquely well-positioned to help deliver against this new agenda with its portfolio of products and services.”
