A PETROL forecourt retailer is recruiting across several Oxfordshire outlets.

Many involve working in onsite food-to-go outlets Greggs, Starbucks, Subway and Burger King.

Vacancies include a full-time assistant manager at one of its Banbury garages and a part-time sales assistant for Greggs at its Marcham Road petrol station in Abingdon.

A full-time sales assistant is needed at the Baynards Green, Bicester Greggs outlet.

And there are full or part-time bakery assistant jobs in Greggs at Henley’s Regatta garage.

Full- or part-time sales assistant and forecourt assistant manager jobs are also available in Faringdon

The Blackburn based firm, which has 341 sites around the UK, is growing rapidly.

It recently attracted private investment valuing it at £1.3bn.

Turnover was £816m for the year to July 2015, a rise of 26 per cent compared to the previous 12 months.

Pre-tax profits jumped 127 per cent to £34.8m over the same period.

The firm has opened 10 sites a year, every year, since 2001 and has 6,000 employees.

It operates BP, Esso and Shell garages with food-to-go outlets and shops.

Last year, it bought more than 170 petrol station forecourts in the south east, including the sites in Oxfordshire.

Commercial director Ilyas Munshi said: “As we expand, we need more people.

“Most roles tend to combine food preparation and customer service, so ideally, we’re looking for people with a passion for making food and who have a strong work ethic.

“In Subway, no sub sandwich is the same, because every customer wants their sub to be customised.”

Mr Munshi said 80 per cent of the firm’s management have come up through the ranks, many starting as customer assistants.
