Man hit with baseball bat
A MAN was attacked with a baseball bat while cycling through an Oxford subway.
The 47-year-old man was attacked in the subway connecting Barton and Northway.
As he passed two men, he was hit in the face with the wooden bat. He suffered a swollen nose and a cut lip which needed medical attention.
Nothing was stolen in the assault, which happened at about 7.15pm on Tuesday, April 10.
Both of the suspects are white.
They are aged about 17 or 18, and about 5ft 7ins tall.
Pc Ben Simmons, who is investigating the assault, said: “I am keen to speak to anyone who saw the men in the subway prior to the attack, or who saw them running towards Barton or through Barton between 7.15pm and 7.30pm.”
