Nine old Blues are included in the Major Stanley’s squad to face Oxford University at Iffley Road tonight (7) alongside some up and coming youngsters.

Centre Tom Gregory, fly half Adam Slade, scrum half Toby Henry, hooker Andy Dalgleish and lock Jon Chance start in a side captained by former Wasps, Harlequins and Chinnor flanker Paul Volley.

Fellow Blues Richard Graham, Peter Clarke, Graham Barr and Chow Mezger complete the nine on the bench.

Youngsters include props Alex Waller (Northampton) and Dan Frasier (Harlequins), while Saracens provide wing James Short, No 8 Jackson Wray and Owen Farrell, the son of dual-code international Andy Farrell.

Oxford start with the same back line that has shone against Saracens and Sale Sharks, while flankers Tosa Makoto and Jamie Gibson get a chance to impress.

It is not yet known whether prop Will Johnson, who started for USA in their World Cup qualifying play-off against Uruguay on Saturday, will return to take his place on the bench.
