Notice of Temporary Traffic Order Thames Path 320/5 - Footpath Closure Date of Order: 2 January 2018 Coming into force: 8 January 2018
This Order is being introduced because of towpath widening works between Folley Bridge and Donnington Bridge (to allow shared cycle/pedestrian use) in two phases which are anticipated to take 8 weeks in total to complete.
The effect of the Order is to close temporarily the Thames Path 320/5 in two 4 week phases: Phase One: From 8 January 2018 for approximately 4 weeks
Between Abingdon Road (Folly Bridge) to south of the University Collage Boat House. Alternative Route:
Via A4144 Abingdon Road, Eastwyke Farm Pathway,
(adjacent to the Oxford Spires Hotel) to University
Collage Boat House and vice versa.
Phase Two: From 5 February for approximately 4 weeks
From south of the University Collage Boat House
(junction of Eastwyke Farm Pathway) to Donnington
Bridge.
Alternative Route:
Via Eastwyke Farm Pathway (adjacent to the Oxford Spires Hotel),A4144 Abingdon Road, B4495 Weirs Lane (Donnington Bridge) and vice versa. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of footpath. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
This order will remain in force for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner
