Dix Daphne Joyce It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce that Daphne Joyce Dix passed away,aged 83, on 21st November 2015, peacefully in hospital, following a stroke. She was a much-loved wife to John, mother to Lynn, Nigel and Graham, and fantastic mother-in-law to Tracy and Marlyn, sister to Jill, grandmother to Daniel, Sam, Jack, Tom and Jenni and great grandmother to Lily and Miles. She had many friends who will all miss her very much. A woman of many talents, Daphne was an excellent teacher, gardener, folk dancer (and caller), wife, mother and carer. And many things besides, too numerous to mention. She was fun to be around. She was great company. She always put everyone else’s needs before her own and made light of her own sufferings and ill health. Daphne was a truly remarkable woman whose like will never be seen again. You will remain with us, Mum, in our thoughts and memories - wonderful memories, and so many of them.It is time to rest now. Goodbye. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to Blind Veterans UK.
