Eddie Pepperell, returning to competitive golf after a five-week break, shot a two-over-par 74 in the first round of the Made In Denmark tournament at Aalborg.

The Frilford Heath professional is placed 43rd, seven shots off the lead jointly held by Thomas Bjorn, Bradley Dredge and Felipe Aguilar.

This trio are three clear of the field.
