JACK Robinson bagged another try treble as leaders Oxford Harlequins hit back to beat Devizes 29-5.

The wing, whose nickname is Flash, starred after the visitors took an early lead with a try from scrum half Tom Collins.

Robinson ran in his first from 45 metres, which full back Will Hilton converted, while centre Kenis Fisilau dummied over on 29 minutes.

Fisilau set up Robinson for his third, but Quins, who had lock Alan Purchase sin-binned, needed to defend well in the second half.

Robinson completed his hat-trick with a 70-metre effort, converted by Hilton, who wrapped up the try scoring with an opportunist finish.

Fly half Roger Sevier’s late penalty earned Grove a 25-24 victory at Newbury, which took them up to fourth in the table.

Grove had led 17-0 and 22-7, but needed Sevier’s excellent touchline kick to seal a win they felt should have been far easier.

Full back Huw Lewis ran in Grove’s opening try on 13 minutes, with Sevier converting.

Lock Paul Miles’s interception and break allowed centre Tom Clipsham to notch No 2.

Sevier converted this and a penalty after Newbury’s full back had been yellow-carded.

Grove prop James Eckert and hooker Steve Dixery were both sin-binned before Newbury scored a converted try.

Wing Harry Carr’s try put the visitors 22-7 up at the break.

Newbury stunned Grove with three tries and a conversion.

The second of these was a controversial penalty try that saw wing Guy Nicholl sin-binned.

Sevier held his nerve to seal it.

Witney’s seven-match winning run ended with a narrow 8-0 defeat at second-placed Towcestrians.

Fly half Ted Landray missed an early penalty for the visitors, while Towcestrians kicker James Falvey was off target with two fairly simple attempts.

The second of these came after Witney centre Henry Lamb was sin-binned for kicking the ball out of scrum half Chrissie George’s hands.

It was 0-0 at break and Witney gained an early advantage when home loosehead prop Zak Osborne was yellow-carded.

Landray again missed the penalty, but Towcestrians upped the ante and took the lead when George touched down after a powerful scrum.

Witney lost hooker Adam Copperwheat to injury, while replacement Matt Yuill slotted a late penalty to deny the visitors a bonus point.
