SOUTH Central Ambulance Service has some serious questions to answer if it is confirmed it took more than an hour to get paramedics to a stricken cyclist in East Oxford.

At the moment, the service has confirmed it received the call for help at 2.39pm on Sunday and an ambulance did not arrive until almost 4pm.

This comes after a 90-wait for treatment in Faringdon, which we reported recently.

But Faringdon is a rural area. Unless there are extenuating and unknown circumstances, waiting for more than an hour in the city for medical help is simply unacceptable.
