FIRE crews have been dealing with a flood at an Oxford care home after a water main burst in a nearby street.
Water was flooding the plant room of Marston Care Home at about 5am and firefighters have been working to direct the water away.
Portable pumps were used to remove the water in time to stop levels reaching any plug sockets in the care home.
Station manager Guy Dunkley said: "The swift action of the fire crews prevented water levels reaching electrical sockets and cabling within the plant room of the care home, this enabled the care home to continue with business as usual and limit the potential impact on the residents."
Thames Water are working to repair the broken pipe.
