These staggering images of skies over Oxford at sunset were snapped by locals just yesterday evening.
Paul Dovey, 44, from Littlemore, stepped onto his balcony in Priory Road at about 8pm, just at the right moment for the awe-inspiring view.
Mr Dovey, who works at printers firm LeachPrint in Abingdon, said: "I looked out and it was there for a couple of minutes, so I seized the opportunity.
"Sometimes we get a view like that, if I'm lucky at the right time as the sun is setting."
Jade Dickerson, 31, who has been recovering in the John Radcliffe Hospital for the past three weeks due to a broken leg, also went to the window to take in the sight.
She said: "I saw the reflection on the side of the building so grabbed my crutches and went to the window. So glad I did, it was beautiful."
