IT’S the season of goodwill, so we should all be making an effort to go that one step further.
But when it comes to getting the service you pay for, that should be standard at any time of year.
Kidlington’s Rebecca Speke was at the end of her tether when she contacted the Oxford Mail about her broken heating.
The mum-of-two was facing Christmas in the cold after being left without heating and hot water since November 30.
It was only when the Oxford Mail contacted housing association Sanctuary that something was done.
No family should be left in the cold for that long. Hopefully this is a one-off and lessons have been learnt.
