THE moving story of brave Skye Hall reminds us all to not take life for granted.

The five-year-old only has weeks to live after being diagnosed with a brain tumour last year.

But he has not let the condition dampen his spirits.

He has tackled more in his short time so far than most should have to bear across their whole lifetime.

The Abingdon pupil has been in and out of hospital with chemotherapy, radiotherapy and oxygen chamber sessions.

Yet through all this his stoicism has shone through and he has worn a smile on his face.

His parents have also had to endure the knowledge their son has a terminal illness and all the stress and worry that entails.

But like their child, they have refused to be downhearted and instead want to celebrate life with Skye.

And that is why they are determined to keep that smile shining until the end by fulfilling the wishes on his bucket list.

No-one can say the boy does not deserve to be spoiled while he still has the chance.

The Oxford Mail hopes somebody will be able to help the family to let young Skye carry out his ice-cream prank in the middle of Abingdon.

What better feeling than to know you have brought joy and happiness to someone so deserving?
