A 40-year-old man arrested in Spain has been charged with 156 theft and fraud offences said to have taken place at a company in Witney. 

Oliver Trusgnach, of Calle can Marti Feluiu, Palma De Mallorca, Spain, was detained under a European Arrest Warrant in Spain on Monday, July 7.

Ten days later he was sent back to the UK and was charged. 

The charges relate to offences where cheques and money were allegedly stolen from a Witney company between Monday, April 17, 2000, and Thursday, July 31, 2003.

Trusgnach appeared at Banbury Magistrates’ Court on Friday, July 18, and was held in custody to appear at Oxford Crown Court today.

He was then remanded and will appear at a plea and case management hearing, due to take place at Oxford Crown Court on Friday, October 10.
