A NEW adventure playground created using four miles of timber is set to amaze visitors to a wildlife park this summer.

The Skymaze playground at Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens in Burford opened to visitors on Saturday.

It includes interconnecting treehouses, slides and jungle bridges for visitors aged seven and upwards.

Sustainably grown timber, mainly grown on farms in the south of England, was sourced for the playground project.

Cotswold Wildlife Park primate keeper Hayley Rothwell said: “Skymaze is an amazingly fun addition to our playground.

“I love all of it, but my favourite part has to be the slides. It is great fun for kids and adults alike.”

Visitors can climb it to get a bird’s-eye view of the Bradwell Grove park.

It was built by Norfolk-based Curious Adventure Play Company.

A Mini-Manor treehouse for toddlers is also being built among the park’s smaller trees and will include slides and activities.
