A MAN was rescued from his car after it left the M40 overnight.

Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene between junctions 8a and nine northbound at 3.55am.

The man’s blue Hyndai had left the carriageway and gone into a ditch and the driver, a man aged about 20, was left with the ambulance service.

Thames Valley Police said the man suffered minor head injuries and the scene was cleared by 6.45am.
