The trial of a man accused of a public order offence by allegedly making a remark in court to the family of Ben Blakely, 22 – the man accused of murdering teenager Jayden Parkinson – has been put back.
Ryan McCann, 24, of no fixed address, was due to stand trial at Oxford Magistrates’ Court yesterday. It was postponed because of a lack of court time and the availability of a solicitor to cross-examine a witness.
McCann pleaded not guilty to using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress on March 20 and was bailed to return to court on Friday, June 27.
