A STAINED glass window was fitted in memory of road crash victim Freddie Perry at his school yesterday.
The 10-year-old died after being hit by a car near his home in Oxford Crescent, Didcot, on September 10 last year.
Classmates filmed tributes to him in a special assembly at Stephen Freeman Community Primary School in Freeman Road, Didcot, where Freddie was a pupil.
A £1,000 Harry Potter-themed stained glass window was fitted in the school’s door, because Freddie was a big fan.
It was unveiled by his sister Eloise, 11.
She said: “It was fantastic to be able to help unveil it, I was very honoured.”
It includes a lightning bolt and the Harry Potter quote: “Love as strong as that leaves a mark.”
The Didcot power station and fish also feature in the window because Freddie enjoyed fishing with his dad Lea Perry.
His mum Judith Perry said: “It was amazing, we had no idea what to expect. It was very emotional but it was a very lovely tribute.”
Headteacher Ruth Bennie said: “It is one stage in the healing process really which is done and dusted.”
