Today is your last chance to enter the Oxford Mail’s Baby of the Year 2014 competition.

The last of this year’s baby photo booths is at Sainsbury’s Heyford Hill, where you can get your baby’s photograph taken by Fraiser Portraits for free.

Hundreds of babies have been entered for the competition, all hoping to be named the cutest baby in Oxfordshire.

Kelly Wall has put forward her one-year-old daughter Hayley Wild.

The Cowley mum, 30, said: “I like seeing all the babies each year in the paper.

“I love spotting my friends’ and family’s babies in it.’’ Ms Wall’s best friend Michelle Smith was also there with Erin, who is 14 months old.

She said: “I’ve never done it before.”

Ms Smith, 25, said: “I didn't even know there was a prize until two minutes ago, it’s really good of them.

“You enter for free and you can get something really nice.’’ The Blackbird Leys resident added: “I have a big family so I’m hoping to get lots of votes for her.”

Another hopeful parent is Kizzie Flynn-Jones, 29, from Rose Hill, who took her daughter Eva-Sofia Jones.

She said: “There were a couple of reasons I entered her, obviously she’s beautiful, and also we wanted to make her some memories.’’ As Eva-Sofia, 15 months, cooed for the camera, Mrs Flynn-Jones, added: “She’s our first child so if she won it would be nice to have our first holiday as a little family together.’’ Ava-Lucia Marshall, 22 months, dressed as a ladybird for her photoshoot.

Her mum Kelly Goodenough said: “I just thought it would be fun, and a chance to show her off."

The Headington mum, 28, said: “I wasn’t interested when my six-year-old son Reuben was little, but my family nagged us this time.”

All entries will be published in a special supplement in the Oxford Mail on April 29 and readers will then be able to vote for their favourite.

The baby with the most votes wins the overall prize, with a runner-up from each age category: zero-nine months, 10-18 months and 19-36 months.

The winner will receive a seven-night holiday with Pontins, a £50 Sainsbury’s voucher, a canvas print of their photo and a trophy.

Runners-up will win a three or four-night break with Pontins, a £25 Sainsbury’s voucher, a print and a trophy.
